May 5-6, 2025, MCC organized its first Spiritual Retreat for Staff and Club Leaders. The retreat aimed to form a strong fellowship, spiritual nurture, and build the leadership capacity of MCC’s staff and the women who are the Club Leaders from MCC’s target areas of Battambang and Banteay Meanchey provinces
– Including two local MCC Board Directors and one US advisor (dialing in remotely), 15 people participated.
– The Retreat was conducted over 2 days at a hotel in Siem Reap, near the Angkor temples – which the group enjoyed visiting together.
– Three learning sessions focused on topics relevant to mothers:“Wives and Husbands Becoming One Flesh (Ephesians 5)”
“God Provides Dignity to Women Equally in Spirituality”
“Group Facilitation Skills”
One Club Leader’s Feedback: “The MCC Club Leaders’ Spiritual Retreat was good and provided opportunities for all the Club Leaders and MCC’s staff to come together to reflect, share and learn together, to strengthen fellowship and faith in Christ Jesus, and build our capacity to lead the club’s activities.”
